This welcome email has been sent to previously registered families, but I have had several questions, so I wanted to make sure everyone got this again. Newly registered families, welcome to the Germantown Gators!!! Welcome aboard!

Later today, you will also be receiving the first Gator Weekly Bulletin that will be sent weekly on Sunday or Monday to help everyone be aware of the week ahead (I apologize for the barrage of emails today). With the weekly bulletin email, there will be a handout on how to enable notifications on the SwimTopia app as this is our communication platform for the season.

There has been one change in the upcoming week and it is reflected on the attached “2023 Gator Important Dates.” There is NO practice this Friday (June 2) due to a scheduling conflict.

We will see everyone Tuesday (10 and under swimmers from 7:00 P.M.-8:15 P.M., and 11 and over swimmers from 8:15 P.M.-9:30 P.M.) at the Germantown Pool! Come ready to work hard and get to know your team!

We are so excited for the upcoming summer swim season! Planning for the season has been underway and we wanted to share some important information with you as we get the 2023 season underway.

Attached to this email you will find:

• The Germantown Gator Handbook
• A Flier of Important Dates & Practice Times
• Volunteer Job Descriptions to help with explaining each position so any worries may be lessened
• SOSL Code of Conduct
• SOSL Website Link (May be helpful for Away meets as the league’s goal is to put an information sheet for each facility to help team’s know protocols [in process])

Please make sure you read these to help familiarize yourself with the expectations and schedules for the season.

Upcoming information will include:

• Volunteer presentation that further explains the various jobs and includes helpful tips.
• FAQ for how to register for events for the meet/what events are recommended to start with for new swimmers.
• How to receive alerts via SwimTopia (This will replace “Remind” from last year as our communication platform)
• Weekly Newsletters throughout the season (most likely sent Sunday or Monday).
