Week 5 Gators Bulletin
Week 5- 6/29
Gator Families,
We have successfully made it through all of our home meets this season and are coming up on a well-deserved break from meets this week as we start looking towards champs! Although we have a quiet week with events, there is still a lot going on with deadlines for the championship meet. Please make sure to read over all the info carefully. We will be having spirit week/coach appreciation after this week (7/6). Attached you will find this week's Gator Bulletin (6/29), it will also be posted on our Facebook page.
As we get to the end of the season, we are taking applications for the 2027 Gator Board. If you are interested in joining the board, please fill out the following Google Form by Sunday, July 5 at NOON. 2027 Gator Board Application
REMINDERS:
- Championship Meet Information: The league sells spirit ads in the heat sheet/program [no digital heat sheets will be sent out] for the meet. - In order to be eligible to swim in the Championship meet, swimmers must attend 2 meets. They must also have swam at least 1 meet UNASSISTED. Swimmers must have a legal time to enter an event, No Time events are not accepted.
- As a reminder, we will be taking a TEAM based approach for CHAMPS as how events are entered/the number of entries may impact the team’s overall results.
- Families will select events, but coaches reserve the right to change the events to help the team (i.e. making sure that entries are distributed over age group events, etc.). If you have any questions or need help selecting events, please talk to the coaching staff.
- Declare for the Idle Hour away meet by NOON on Monday (7/6).
- Please make sure that you mark if you are attending or not attending.
- RSVP for the Team Dinner by NOON on Wednesday (7/8) so we can ensure there is enough food. Team dinner will be on Thursday, July 9, at 6:30 P.M. at the Veteran’s Park Shelter.
- Please make sure that you mark if you are attending or not attending.
- Please sign up to bring an item from the donation list. We will be having the famous Gator Taters prepared by Farmer in the Deli as a way to carb load before the big championship meet.
- RSVP for the Final Team Combined Practice: On Friday, July 10, the team will hold a combined morning practice for all age groups from 9a-10:30a. This will be a practice to have some fun and celebrate the season in our run up to Champs! Please RSVP your swimmer if they will be attending this practice so coaches can get a tentative count for planning purposes.
