    Important Gators Updates

    Gators Families,

Summer is almost here, which means it is time for Gators! If you haven't done so already, please register online as soon as possible. After May 26, registrations must be completed online and a $10 late fee will be assessed.

We have a number of schedule updates to share:

    • Due to some upgrades being made to the Germantown Pool, practice will begin on June 1, not May 30 as planned. As a reminder, practices are Monday-Friday throughout the season. Times are as follows: 7:30 - 8:45 AM ages 13 & Up; 8:30 - 9:45 AM ages 9-12; 9:30 - 10:45 AM ages 8 & Under.
    • As a reminder, time trials & volunteer training will be held on June 6 at 6:30 PM at the pool. It's important that as many swimmers and are there as possible so the coaches can get times to create the meet line up. We also need parents there as we'll have a parent meeting, a new parent orientation, and training on volunteer positions.
    • Team pictures will be taken on June 9 at 8:00 AM at the pool.
    • We are adding an additional meet to the schedule, for those who are able to make it. It is on June 29 at the Miami Valley Golf Club at 6:30 PM.
    • The Preble County Invitational is on June 24. Please see below for further information.

Here are a few other reminders:

    • Team suits can be purchased through Swimville USA using this order form. Remember, team suits are not required.
    • Don't forget to schedule your volunteer shifts online. Each family is required to work six shifts plus one at Championships in order to receive their work deposit back. Thanks in advance for your help - we can't do it without you!
    • If your child is a rising sophomore or older and wants to apply to be a trainee, please reply to this email or contact Coach Lemke.

Please feel free to email us ([email protected]) or call/text Emily at 937-657-9164 with any questions. We are looking forward to a great season!

The Preble County Stingrays would like to invite your summer swim team to the 10th Annual PC Invitational being held on Saturday, June 24th.

This year is going to be a very exciting one for the Stingrays. We are hosting the invite in our new 8 lanes 25-meter pool with diving on both side of the pool. We have A Colorado touch pad system for timing the event. Below is the new pool layout. We have a new event for some family fun. Mom and Dad can swim against their swimmers. Event 41 and 42 is a 25-meter freestyle. This is open to any age and the families will be in the lane next to each other. This will be swam right before the 20 minute break. They will be ribbons awards for this event. With the success of last year invite we are going to limit the number swimmers to 500. We will not split a team up.

Several items: We do a “Breast Stroke for Breast Cancer Campaign.”, after we pay for the ribbons (about 15.00) all the proceeds from the breast stroke events are donated to Susan G. Koman foundation. The past 4 years we have risen over 6000.00 for this cause. A swimmer or group of swimmers may come to the meet with or without a coach. We allow mix relays but they must be swum in the boys events. No more than 2 girls in the mixed relay. We ask if each team can provide 2 timers for the entire day.
